TRB Statewide Data and Information Systems Committee

The Statewide Data and Information Systems Committee focuses on research and technology transfer activities pertaining to statewide transportation planning data and information systems for all modes of transportation. Its website contains contact information, meeting minutes, publications, and presentations.

Planning for Transportation System Management and Operations
The Planning for Operations is a joint program created by the FHWA Office of Operations and Office of Planning and the FTA's Office of Planning. The website contains numerous resources to help planners and operators gain insight into performance measurement, congestion management systems, regional ITS architecture, institutional arrangements, data collection and Sharing, funding and resource sharing, and regional transportation Systems management and operations Projects.

Data Integration in Transportation Asset Management
The FHWA's Office of Asset Management is collecting, developing, and disseminating information pertaining to data integration. The office has published a number of documents including a Data Integration Primer and a Glossary of Data Integration Terms. In addition, a collection of Case Studies describing State DOT data integration experiences is being developed. National Transportation Operations Coalition Talks The NTOC Talks website hosts public forums for operations and ITS. Practitioners can share lessons learned about operating the existing transportation systems and ITS deployments.

HPMS Community Exchange The FHWA HPMS Community Exchange is a public forum dedicated to the open exchange of information and knowledge on all things related to HPMS. This forum allows anyone interested in HPMS to interact on any number of HPMS issues and to assist others in acquiring knowledge from an array of HPMS professionals throughout the country.

Travel Monitoring Community Exchange

The FHWA Travel Monitoring Community Exchange is a public forum dedicated to the open exchange of information and knowledge on all things related to the collection, editing, analysis, and archiving of traffic volume, vehicle classification and weigh-in-motion data. This forum allows anyone interested in highway travel monitoring to interact on any travel data issues and to assist others in acquiring knowledge from an array of professionals.
